This film "Rocks!"
Rainn Wilson as Robert 'Fish' Fishman the drummer for A.D.D. is outstanding. The young people in the band are standouts and you should see Emma Stone (Amelia) and Jonathan Malen (Jeremy) in a lot more films. They are good and would do well on Broadway too.
Josh Gad (Matt) another standout performer in the cast, which was a great ensemble of talent including Christina Applegate and Jane Lynch who play mothers of two band members.
If you like rock & roll, you will love it and it is crazy!
Film Synopsis:
“THE ROCKER” is Robert “Fish” Fishman, the drummer for an eighties hair band. He's living the rock n’ roll dream… until he is kicked out of the group. Twenty years later, the desperate rocker joins his nephew’s band, “A.D.D.,” finally reclaiming the rock-god throne he’s always thought he deserved -- while taking his much younger bandmates along for the ride of their lives.
In this rockin’ mix of physical comedy, heart and garage band/power rock/heavy metal music, “The Office’s” Rainn Wilson trades his paper company desk job for rock ‘n roll fame, taking on the role of a big, sweaty, out-of-control – and sometimes naked – drummer who gets a second chance at rock superstardom. He’s joined by Christina Applegate (“Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy”), Jeff Garlin (“Curb Your Enthusiasm”), Josh Gad (“21”), pop star Teddy Geiger and Emma Stone (“Superbad”). Peter Cattaneo (“The Full Monty”) directs.
