ABIGAIL BRESLIN NAMED SHOWEST “FEMALE STAR OF TOMORROW”

BRESLIN TO NEXT STAR WITH JODIE FOSTER IN WALDEN MEDIA’S NIM’S ISLAND

LOS ANGELES — ShoWest has named Abigail Breslin ShoWest “Female Star of Tomorrow,”
it was announced today by Mitch Neuhauser, co-managing director of the event that will be held
March 10-13, 2008, in Las Vegas. Breslin will be presented with the ShoWest Female Star of
Tomorrow award at ShoWest’s closing night ceremony on Thursday, March 13, at Bally's and
Paris Las Vegas.

“Since making her big screen debut at the tender age of five, Abigail Breslin has impressed
critics and movie fans across the world with her versatile, enchanting and charismatic
performances,” said Neuhauser. “From her breakout role in Signs to her astounding
performance in Little Miss Sunshine, Abigail has shown Hollywood that she is a force to be
reckoned with, for many years to come. ShoWest is delighted to recognize her extraordinary
talent by presenting Abigail with the ShoWest Female Star of Tomorrow award.”

Breslin can next be seen starring alongside Jodie Foster and Gerard Butler in Walden Media’s
Nim’s Island opening April 4. The film is being marketed by Fox Walden and released by 20th
Century Fox. On Nim’s Island, a magical place ruled by a young girl’s imagination, anything can
happen. It is an existence that mirrors that of her favorite literary character, Alex Rover- the
world’s greatest adventurer. But Alexandra, the author of the Rover books, leads a reclusive
life in the big city. When Nim’s father goes missing from their island, a twist of fate brings her
together with Alexandra. Now, they must draw courage from their fictional hero, Alex Rover,
and find strength in one another to conquer Nim’s Island.

Only 11 years old, Breslin made her feature film debut starring opposite Mel Gibson in M.
Night Shyamalan’s 2002 film Signs. Best known for her breakout and critically acclaimed role in
Little Miss Sunshine, Breslin played Olive the ambitious young girl obsessed with winning a
beauty pageant. Her performance earned her a Best Actress Award from the Tokyo
International Film Festival and she was nominated for an Academy Award®, SAG and BAFTA
for Best Supporting Actress. She has also starred along side Kate Hudson in Raising Helen,
Catherine Zeta-Jones in No Reservations and James Garner in The Ultimate Gift, while lending
her talents to guest roles on Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, Grey’s Anatomy and Ghost
Whisperer among many others. She can also be seen later this year in Universal Pictures
Definitely Maybe co-opposite Ryan Reynolds and in Picturehouse’s Kit Kittredge: An American
Girl, the first movie adaption of the classic books.
