CHARLES ROVEN
“PRODUCER OF THE YEAR””
ROVEN’S UPCOMING FILMS INCLUDE GET SMART AND THE DARK KNIGHT

LOS ANGELES  —  ShoWest has named Charles Roven “Producer of the Year,” it was announced today by
Mitch Neuhauser, co-managing director of the event that will be held March 10 - 13, 2008 in Las Vegas .
Roven will be presented with the ShoWest Producer of the Year award at ShoWest’s closing night ceremony
on Thursday, March 13, at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas.

“With over two decades in film, Charles Roven has proven himself to be one of the most dynamic and
successful producers of his time,” said Neuhauser. “From the excitement of such films as Three Kings and
Batman Begins, to the romantic fantasy of City of Angels , to the outright comedy of the Scooby Doo series,
Roven has brought an unparalleled sensibility to the world of production. Now, as we look forward to his
latest films, the much-anticipated Get Smart, The Dark Knight and The International, we are honored to
recognize Charles Roven as ShoWest Producer of the Year.”

Roven began his career as a talent manager before co-founding Atlas Entertainment and its affiliated
company Atlas/Third Rail Management, which, in 1999, became part of Mosaic Media Group. Roven has
produced many diverse films, including the Oscar-nominated Twelve Monkeys, City of Angels , Three Kings,
Scooby-Doo, The Brothers Grimm, Idlewild and Batman Begins. His next release is the heist thriller, The
Bank Job, directed by Roger Donaldson, starring Jason Statham and Saffron Burrows. The film, based on a
true story, will be released by Lionsgate on March 7.

Roven’s work can be seen later this summer in Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Village Roadshow Pictures’ Get
Smart and Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ The Dark Knight as well as Sony Pictures’ The
International.

Releasing on June 20, 2008, Get Smart, directed by Peter Segal, stars Steve Carell as Maxwell Smart who is
on a mission to thwart the latest plot for world domination by the evil crime syndicate known as KAOS. Given
little field experience and even less time, Smart—armed with nothing but a few spy-tech gadgets and his
unbridled enthusiasm—must thwart the doomsday plans of KAOS.  The film also stars Anne Hathaway,
Dwayne Johnson, Alan Arkin, Terence Stamp and James Caan.

Releasing on July 18, 2008, The Dark Knight stars Christian Bale who once again embodies the man behind
the mask. The film reunites Bale with director Christopher Nolan and takes Batman across the world in his
quest to fight a growing criminal threat. Batman has been making headway against local crime until a rising
criminal mastermind, known as The Joker unleashes a fresh reign of chaos across Gotham City . The film
also stars Michael Caine, Heath Ledger, Gary Oldman, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Morgan
Freeman.

Releasing August 15, 2008, The International, starring Clive Owen and Naomi Watts under the direction of
Tom Tykwer centers on the determination of Interpol agent (Owen) and Manhattan Assistant D.A. (Watts)
to bring to justice one of the world’s most powerful banks.  Finding themselves in a high stakes chase across
the globe, their relentless tenacity puts their own lives at risk as their targets will stop at nothing to continue
financing terror and war.
