Marvin J. Levy, one of the motion picture industry’s most respected and admired marketing
executives, will be honored at ShoWest 2008 with a special Career Achievement in Film
Marketing Award, it was announced today by Mitch Neuhauser, co-managing director of the
event.

Levy had served as a marketing consultant for Steven Spielberg and Amblin Entertainment
starting in 1982 and then segued to marketing and communications at DreamWorks Studios
when it was formed in 1994. Prior to 1982, he had an eight-year association with Columbia
Pictures where he was Vice President of Advertising, Publicity, and Promotion. He is a member
of the Board of Governors of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences and is
Chairman of the Public Relations Branch.

This special accolade will be presented as part of ShoWest’s closing day luncheon on Thursday,
March 13th at Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas.

“It goes without saying that we couldn’t be more ecstatic that Marvin has agreed to be the
recipient of this special Career Achievement in Film Marketing Award,” noted Neuhauser.
“When it comes to marketing, Marvin really has few equals. From his early work on Close
Encounters of the Third Kind, and Kramer vs. Kramer to such films as E.T., the Extra
Terrestrial, Jurassic Park and even more recently Transformers and Sweeney Todd, he has
been a true professional in the world of film marketing. We are thrilled to have this opportunity
to honor such an innovative and talented man at ShoWest 2008.”

He began his career in the entertainment and communication field as a writer and assistant
producer of radio and television shows in New York before entering the motion picture industry
with MGM. He went on to play a part in the campaigns for various film-makers and distribution
companies with such other releases as They Shoot Horses, Don’t They, Stripes, A Passage to
India, the Back to the Future trilogy, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Men In Black, Schindler’s
List, Saving Private Ryan, Minority Report, War of the Worlds, American Beauty, Gladiator
and Shrek just to name a few. Among his recent film projects is the upcoming Indiana Jones and
the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, directed by Spielberg, a Lucasfilm Ltd. Production distributed
by Paramount.
