to the motion picture industry and for his many ground-breaking accomplishments in the arena of Canadian
cinema exhibition.
“It is a great honor for ShoWest to be able to single out the achievements of Ellis Jacob at ShoWest 2008,”
noted Mitch Neuhauser. “Ellis exemplifies the spirit of a ‘ShoWester’ with his entrepreneurial spirit and
tenacity in orchestrating the acquisition of Famous Players to form Cineplex Entertainment, the leading
motion picture circuit in Canada. Ellis and Cineplex Entertainment have raised the bar of excellence when it
comes to the theatrical experience, not just in Canada, but throughout the world, and this is an honor that is
justly deserved.”
Mr. Jacob has more than 20 years experience in the motion picture exhibition industry. In his current position
