"ShoWest 2004 Female Star of Tomorrow"
“Jennifer Garner has already taken the world by storm on the small screen and we can only imagine what
great success lies in store as she begins to conquer the excitement and glamour of the silver screen,” said
Neuhauser.  “Her versatility is clearly apparent and her grace, beauty and talent has star quality written all
over it. ShoWest is pleased to honor her with the 2004 Female Star of Tomorrow Award and looks forward to
what we know is going to be a long and promising career.”

From Revolution Studios comes "13 Going On 30," a delightful be-careful-what-you-wish-for romantic
comedy starring Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo.  On the eve of her 13th birthday, all Jenna Rink wants is
to be pretty and popular.  After a humiliating experience with the coolest boy in school, Jenna makes a
desperate wish for a new life.  Miraculously, her wish comes true, but with one catch ... it's 17 years later and
she's a 13-year-old trapped inside a 30-year-old's body.  "13 Going on 30" is slated for release April 23, 2004.

Jennifer Garner was born Houston, Texas.  Garner took ballet and studied six hours a day.  Then when she
went to college she took drama and found it was what she wanted to do with her life.   After graduating she
went to New York and got a job as an understudy in the Broadway production of "A Month in the Country" in
1995.  Garner then moved to Los Angeles and started working in television.  She made her small screen debut
in the made-for-TV movie "Zoya," based on Danielle Steel's novel.

She did other television roles such as "Hallmark Hall of Fame" films, "Harvest of Fire" and "Rose Hill."

She did many feature films playing small roles.  But her big break came in the highly popular television show
"Felicity."  Garner's work in this series gave her a major supporting role in another television show "Time of
Your Life," starring Jennifer Love Hewitt.  This television show did not do well and was cancelled, but Garner
received great notices.

She did more feature films such as playing the frustrated girlfriend to Ashton Kutcher's character in "Dude,
Where's My Car?"  She also had a role in the epic film "Pearl Harbor," where she played Nurse Sandra.

Garner was now becoming known and the producer J. J. Abrams, of "Felicity" was working on a new
television series.  Abrams remembered Garner's impressive performance as in "Felicity," and cast her as the
star Sydney Bristow in the very popular television series "Alias."  Garner won a Golden Globe for her
performance in “Alias.”  She has also been nominated twice for an Emmy, three times for a Golden Globe and
one time for a Screen Actors Guild Award.  “Alias” was also awarded the People’s Choice Award for Best
New Drama Series. “Alias” is currently in its third season.
