ShoWest 2004 Convention co-managing director Mitch Neuhauser announced that
Gwyneth Paltrow is the recipient of ShoWest 2004's “Distinguished Decade of Achievement in Film”
Award.
Paltrow is probably best known for the film "Shakespeare in Love" in 1998, which garnered her an “Oscar”
for “Best Actress” and many other awards. She is due to star opposite Jude law in the upcoming Paramount
Pictures' "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow."
Paltrow was born into an entertainment family. Her father Bruce Paltrow was a well-known Television
Producer and who can forget her Actress-Mother Blythe Danner. Mother and daughter even worked
together in a movie recently.
Paltrow’s acting debut came in a supporting role in the movie “Shout” in 1991. Since then this talented
actress has made many movies and does not appear to be stopping. After the death of her father, Paltrow
said she wanted to slow things down as far as her work goes.
