The Hollywood Reporter's
2004 Showmanship Awards
Jason Stuart  hosted this event and was very funny.  This award show is for the theatre owners and their
employees.

The marketing and publicity people at studios work hard to get the word out about movies opening. But if you
own a movie theatre, then you have to think about promoting the movies even more in the theatre you own.
With many cities having more than one movie theatre complex owner has to think about how to get people into
their movie theatre. Well, there are some very hard working theatre owners and their employees that have
gone the extra mile in publicity for their theatres. The Hollywood Reporter awards honor these hard working
people with awards, which are presented at ShoWest.

One theatre complex had a pirate theme for "Pirates of the Caribbean" and another had a "Lora Croft Tomb
Raider" theme.  All these were wonderfully presented for the movie-goers.  These award-winning ideas show
you that there is more to working or owning a movie theatre complex than just opening the doors everyday.

So next time you go to the movies look around the theatre, and think about how much work the employees go
into getting things ready for you.
